Closings and Delays

All New Horizons Regional Education Centers' programs are operating on normal schedule.

In the event of inclement weather, New Horizons follows Newport News Public Schools for full-day school closings; however, all Peninsula school divisions will be considered in making decisions regarding delayed openings or early release.

Center for Autism YORKTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPUS families should ALSO look for inclement weather announcements posted by York County School Division. If York County School Division is closed or delayed, then New Horizons' Center for Autism at the Yorktown Middle School campus will be closed or delayed for students.

Inclement weather decisions for adult programs will be made through the Center for Apprenticeship and Adult Training.
